Chocolate Almond Butter Cups

Ingredients for the base (almond butter layer)

1/4 cup almond butter
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
Several pinches of stevia (to taste)

Directions for base (almond butter layer)
In a small pot, combine all ingredients and heat on low and stir until smooth enough to pour
Pour the mixture into silicone moulds or muffin liners – make this layer about ¼ inch thick
Place moulds or liners into freezer for 10 minutes

Ingredients for the topping (chocolate layer)
1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup coconut oil

Directions for topping (chocolate layer)
In a small pot, combine all ingredients and heat on low and stir until it’s smooth enough to pour
Pour into the moulds/liners on top of the base layer – make this layer ¼ inch thick
Place moulds/liners into freezer for 15 minutes, then enjoy your Chocolate Almond Butter Cups
